Layering with Cricut Artbooking Cartridge

Posted on

Check out this invitation I worked on with my friend. Her little girl is turning six and having a soccer themed birthday party. This little tomboy loves girly colors like pink and purple so she didn’t want your average soccer themed invite. We whipped this up but they’re going to add the info later so it looks a little plain here. Look how cute this soccer ball is though! Super easy to make 20 invites with my Cricut Artbooking cartridge. We were done cutting all the pieces in about 15 min. We even added a little flair by cutting the card piece with the Cricut Artiste cartridge. Everything you see here was cut with the cricut.

Our cricut cartridges are an awesome deal because they come with more than just the cartridge. For $99 you get the cartridge, 3 D-size stamps, and 3 sets of Dimensional Elements. That’s a savings of $26. Want to get your cricut cartridge for $49.50? You have two options: Host an online party that reaches sales of $250 or place your own $250 order (You must contact me to place your order, it can NOT be through my website). Plus you will get the other perks of hosting such as being able to order “hostess only stamps” and free product credit. It doesn’t get better than free product and 50% off a cricut cartridge!

Close to My Heart Surf’s Up Layout

Posted on

It’s sad that the summer will be ending soon but check out this wonderful layout I did using the Surf’s Up Workshop on the Go Kit.  I love this paper because we love going to the beach!  Surf’s Up just screams summer.  If you haven’t explored our Workshop on the Go kits I highly recommend them.  They are such a great value.  You get a paper packet, accessories, and an instructional guide.  It makes it so easy to know exactly what to do.  The guide shows you what paper you need and exactly where to make the cuts so that you conserve the most paper.  You even have paper left over.  I can often get about 6 layouts with each kit by just adding some cardstock.  There’s also a suggested layout shown in the instructional guide.

These kits are only $29.95 for scrapbooking but there are also cardmaking kits and a decorative frame kit!  If you are looking for a way to get into scrapbooking or cardmaking these kits are perfect.  Check out all the awesome kits you have to choose from!

Card using Close To My Heart Proplayer paper

Every time a new catalog comes out I participate in a large swap.  It’s so much fun to receive new artwork and see the creativity of other consultants.  My assigned artwork was to create a card using the Cricut, our new Proplayer paper packet, and the Proplayer assortment.  The paper packet is themed with video gaming but has some really neat elements.  It is versatile if you use it in the right way.  Instead of thinking video gaming… think technology!  We all use cell phones and computers. You can use glitter paper, shimmer trim, or any sort of bling to make it shine.

I decided that I make so many girly cards for birthdays and other events that this would be the perfect opportunity to make a masculine birthday card.  I used our new Cricut Artbooking cartridge to cut the presents and the overlay.  It was so easy I just popped it in and the Cricut did all the hard work 🙂  So here it is:

Autumn 2013 Swap Card

I used the following to make the card:

If you like the stamp that I used, then be sure to host a party so you can get your own set.  When you host a party you qualify to get certain sets only available to hostesses and at a discounted price.

Don’t want to have a party in your house?  Hosting a party has never been easier because you can do it all online.  No matter where you live you can invite anyone to look at the virtual catalog and place an order online.  The order is then shipped straight to their door without you having to do anything!  If you would like to host an online party then simply contact me and I will get everything set up for you.

CTMH Catalog Live Today!

Hello world!  Welcome and thank you for checking out my blog.  I’m so excited to share different CTMH ideas with everyone.  I’ve always wanted to share different creations with everyone and finally figured out how I could do it.  So let’s get started!

The Autumn/Winter Idea book became available today!  It is so wonderful.  I could go on and on about all the new and exciting things we have but I’ll let you explore them for yourself.  Click here to go to the virtual catalog.

Some quick highlights of our newest products are:

  1. A new cricut cartridge!!!!  The Artbooking Cartridge is amazing.  It will make layouts and mini-albums a breeze.  I’ll be posting some different things I’m working on soon.
  2. Crush books!  A great way to have a mobile scrapbook.  Add things as they come to you.  Plus there are coordinating products.  If stamping is keeping you from scrapbooking then this is the solution for you.
  3. Jewelry!  Our new line of base & bling products allow you to accessorize and have fun with our fabric and coordinating products.
  4. Designed Décor products!  There’s even a kit that makes decorating your home with your own pictures easy and affordable.

To start out I wanted to share this invitation that I created for my daughter’s 4th birthday.  I tried to keep it simple since I had to mass-produce them and quickly.  I was so excited to be able to use one of our new stamp sets that I adore!  Is there anything cuter than a cartoon giraffe?  Since my daughter’s party is going to be at the zoo it worked out perfect!  I did have to pull out a couple of retired stamps to complete everything.  If I would have had our wonderful Artbooking Cartridge in time to make these I could have done the giraffe with cardstock.  I just didn’t get it ordered quick enough.  So what do you think?
